The David Beckham Academy is pleased to announce its fourth annual Corporate Cup will take place at the Academy on 22 December 2008, where a whole variety of teams will compete in the UK's most exclusive amateur trophy competition.
This eight-a-side tournament, organised and hosted by The David Beckham Academy and refereed by Premier League officials, will see 16 teams go head-to-head in a European Champions League-style format, with David Beckham on hand to present prizes to the winning teams as well as posing for team photos and handing out DVDs to each player.
Teams can be made up from companies, groups of friends or business networks and each player will be given their own Adidas-sponsored European kit and will be personally managed by a well known football name. Past managers have included John Terry, Ruud Gullit, Lee Sharpe, Nigel Winterburn, Bobby Robson, Gus Poyet and Lee Dixon.
On the night, every team is allocated 25 tickets consisting of 12 playing members and 13 spectators. Prior to the event there will be a cup draw night where representatives from each team will be invited to attend for their celebrity manager and team strip.
Once the event has finished, players and their supporters will be invited to stay for the exclusive after party with DJ Spooney until 3am. Invitations to this fantastic experience are only available to participating teams in the Corporate Cup, these teams will be able to buy extra tickets to the after party.
The European Cup package costs £25,000 per team. A large percentage of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Shine Foundation For Children [1].
