UniTaskr, the technology company that connects households and businesses with a highly skilled workforce of university students and graduates, has today announced the successful closure of an impressive seven figure investment round.
The secured funding will now serve as a catalyst for UniTaskr's strategic initiatives, strengthening its operations in key markets, particularly in the UK and the USA. It will also be utilised to generate further work opportunities for its global student userbase, by providing them with greater access to valuable experiences and practical skills that complement their education.
Co-founded by visionary British entrepreneurs Joseph Black and Oliver Jacobs, UniTaskr has scaled significantly since its creation in 2019, thanks to a remarkable clientele list containing some of the world's leading companies, including Adobe, Amazon Music, Takis and Sony Music, amongst others.
Earlier this year, UniTaskr entered the US market where it has added thousands of members to its network, with anywhere up to 1,000 students joining every day. Such figures have enabled UniTaskr to surpass its projected targets for 2023, with an astonishing 80% increase in revenue and 30% expansion in its total user base, solidifying its reputation as the "go-to" provider of skilled freelance services.
The company's success has been built upon its innovative technology platform and user app, which has undergone a number of updates and improvements, including the launch of the latest SHOUT tech platform "UGC Studio".
This pioneering platform enables brands across the UK and US to access affordable User-Generated Content (UGC) and nano influencers at scale, revolutionising their marketing strategies. UniTaskr further impressed investors by having streamlined its in-app subscription monetisation process, allowing it to efficiently manage subscriptions and launch premium plans.
Such achievements have seen the company secure a number of noteworthy industry accolades. These include securing the coveted first place position on the TalentTech 50 list, surpassing noted competitors such as Indeed and CV Library, as well as Sage, Warner Media, and Walkers Crisps at the TikTok Ad awards. UniTaskr was also named as one of the "Top 100 Next Generation Companies" in the 2023 World Future Awards which recognise the best products, software and services that will transform the global economy and define the landscape of the future.
Speaking on the investment announcement, Joseph Black, Co-Founder at UniTaskr stated: "Since its creation, the UniTaskr team have worked hard to provide students and graduates with a means to access fulfilling job opportunities that utilise their knowledge, talents, and insights. In doing so, we have been fortunate to have built a formidable tech company that delivers for its clients every time."
Oliver Jacobs, Co-Founder at UniTaskr added: "This latest investment validates our achievements and more excitingly, our many plans for the future, so watch this space!"
Headquartered in London with offices in Birmingham and Los Angeles, UniTaskr now employs a team of 15 individuals and boasts over 320,000 members.
