The Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA), the official trade body supporting the promotion and delivery of the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and the early stage seed scheme (SEIS), is encouraging businesses which have benefitted from EIS and SEIS investment to become members of the Association by offering them a free 12 month membership if they register before the end of January.
Director General of the EISA, Christiana Stewart-Lockhart is driving an initiative to ensure that a greater number of start-ups benefit from the advice and support provided by the EISA, even after they have received their investment.
"Entrepreneur members of EISA have access to networking, events, updates on any changes to the schemes, tools to help identify potential investors through Pitchflix EPIC and an opportunity to contribute to relevant Government and Parliamentary consultations," says Christiana Stewart-Lockhart.
"Additionally they are able to enter the EISA Awards with a range of new categories aimed at showcasing the most innovative EIS/SEIS funded businesses.
"During January we are inviting eligible entrepreneurs to become members of the EISA with a complimentary annual membership. We are committed to raising awareness of the schemes and ensuring that the opportunities the EIS and the SEIS can offer founders are recognised by all entrepreneurs throughout the whole of the UK."
Both the Government, and the Opposition have recently confirmed their ongoing support for the EIS and SEIS, and the schemes play a vital role in ensuring the UK is one of the best places in the world to start a business.
Eligible entrepreneurs are encouraged to register as members of EISA through the EISA application.
