Eureka moment?
I was travelling on business through
Dusseldorf airport, when I dropped a large bag containing numerous different
tablets, pills and supplements. I had to scrabble around in my suit, picking
them up off the floor. I'm a registered nutritionist and thought, There must
be a better way to do this. This sparked the idea of a personalised
nutrition gummy with all the vitamins and minerals you need in one simple
solution.

Achieving the highest seed round ever by a UK-based female founder for
Nourished's parent firm, Rem3dy Health, in 2020. I feel very fortunate and
proud to have been able to get plenty of other financial backing for my
business visions. Female-led
UK companies received just 1.8% of private equity funding in the first half of
2024 - that figure needs to change.
Regrets?
My first pitch to an investor was a 29-slide deck. I thought I had to
cover everything. At the end, the
investor kindly pointed out that industry-standard decks are just three to four
slides. I was mortified and it was lesson I've never forgotten.
What would you changed?
I launched Nourished just over two months
before the COVID pandemic hit. But every experience, whether it felt like a success or a
setback at the time, has taught me something important and shaped the way I
lead, problem solve and pushed me to think differently.
