Eureka moment: In 2013, during a game night in East London, I had an epiphany while playing a board game with friends. As an accomplished account director at an e-commerce tech company at the time, the allure of an analogue, device-free social connection amidst my digital-focused work became apparent. As we enjoyed tacos and beers, I saw a need for spaces where people could connect socially without devices, and that board games could facilitate this connection.

Finance: Since our Kickstarter launch in 2014, we've been self-funded, steering our growth deliberately. While expansion has been gradual, this approach has granted us full control over our direction, and we believe this autonomy helped foster our sustained success. Now, with a decade of operation, poised for further growth, we aim to attract investments for acceleration.

Regrets: Taking risks and making informed decisions led me to use my personal savings to open an untested concept with little experience in the hospitality industry, far from home. To start and run a business, you have to take risks and make decisions without dwelling on regrets. Every step, even the risky ones, has been a crucial part of our journey.

What would you have changed? With the clarity of hindsight, various choices might have been different, but the present success suggests these experiences solidified our current position. After a decade of navigating the entrepreneurial landscape, every decision, even flawed, contributed to our success and brought us to a great place. Changing course may not have led to a better outcome than where we are today.
