Eureka Moment
It all started when I was alone in my room, lying on the bed. All of a sudden, the idea just flashed into my head. What if I were to share my secret family hair oil recipe with the world? What if I am able to help so many other people who have been suffering like me.I had tried and tested so many ingredients and products in my hair over the past year. Due to my sudden hair loss. It was after my mother questioned me one day. "Why have you not been using our family hair oil?". She prepared the mixture for me and applied this to my hair. After leaving it in overnight, I then washed it out, and since then I have remained consistent with my hair oil regime.
Finance
I was working 9-5 at the time and did not have much money or time to invest in my business, but I had to make this work and make it my priority. I started off with little money and created small batches to begin with and then invested my profits, made back into the business and expanded over time.
Regrets
Not resorting to using the traditional family hair oil recipe to formulate an effective product earlier.
What would you have changed?
It took time for me to ask for help from others such as mentors, but my team today has helped me to stay motivated and has educated me in areas where I lacked knowledge. Creating and setting up my own business has been a learning journey with ups and downs and I know I have a long way to go as we grow further.
