Eureka Moment
My "Eureka" moment came following COVID-19, when I realised I couldn't have all my eggs in one basket, being shut meant no business, no income, and I could not have this happen again. The pandemic hugely impacted the beauty industry, and I saw self-tanning brands shutting down, leaving professionals struggling to find high-quality tanning solutions. As a salon owner, I experienced this firsthand, and I needed to find a better professional tanning fluid quickly. The market was limited and lacking in quality, so I decided to create my own brand, Beau Bronzage, to fill the gap and solve my own problem.
Finance
As an entrepreneur, I tend to live in the future, not the present. I am always looking for ways to generate more revenue and strengthen my brand because failure is not an option for me. If something seems unachievable, I make it happen.
Regrets
If I had to pinpoint one, it would be not trusting my instincts sooner and relying too much on outside contractors who promise the earth but deliver nothing. In business, you have to trust others to help you grow, but I've learned the hard way that not everyone shares your work ethic or commitment to quality.
What would you have changed?
I would have started my business much sooner by believing in myself and not letting others' judgment or doubt hold me back. Looking back, I spent too much time worrying about whether it was the right move instead of trusting my instincts. If I had taken the leap earlier, I could have grown even faster and made an impact sooner.
