Unilever bans size zero models
Unilever has imposed a ban on using “size zero”
models for advertising of all their products including Sunsilk shampoo,
Flora margarine and Slimfast.
Following the favourable response to its Dove advertising campaign using “real women” Unilever has decided to impose the ban in consideration of the “possible negative health effects of promoting excessive slimness”.
Additionally Unilever has decided to market only healthy food and beverage products to children between the ages of six and 11 years old.
